2015 Chase Standings After 20 Races

With the 2015 Chase hunt heating up lets take a look at the Chase Standings. Unlike the regular season points standings, wins take more of a precedent. Also included is Kyle Busch's quest to make the Chase. Note: If Kyle gets in the top 30 he will jump way up the standings and be locked in (if he stays in the top 30).

Notes: Anyone 18th (Biffle) and below is part of the "need a win to get in" group. Kyle Busch will be moving people down these standings as soon as he is in the top 30, so that -76 points will be more like -86 and even harder to make up. It is also worth noting that Watkins Glen is still on the schedule and someone could steal a win, making the non win bubble even smaller.
I would say the only 99% secure driver on just points is Jamie McMurray. Jeff Gordon comes in a close second, but I would only be 80% confident that he is locked in on points after that rough Indy finish. Ryan Newman on down all have to keep pushing out quality finishes every race and will only be comfortable if they get a win or Richmond has passed.
