2016 NASCAR Driver Spotlight Preview: Greg Biffle

Greg Biffle 2016 Preview

By Richard Tix

Not a whole lot went in Greg Biffles favor in 2015. Actually, it has been a steady decline the last few years. Some of that has to do with Roush Fenway Racing and there struggles, but still Biffle isn't helping his cause.

Carl Edwards jetted the sinking ship, but Biffle stuck around and is losing time for a Championship. At this time, I think he Championship odds are 1/100 for the rest of his career. Every season he doesn't contend you can add another hundred in odds against him. I think he could still be a Chase contender, but after a season like last year the odds are not in his favor going forward.

Bold Predictions/2016 Season Expectations:
  • 2015 was the same as 2014, another win-less season. Its the first time in his long career he didn't get a win in back to back season's. I really think that streak continues this season. His lone shot is if RFR gains a bit back at tracks like Michigan where they have been historically fast. 0 wins, 5-7 top 5's, and 6-9 top 10's are most likely his 2016 outcome at season's end. He will once again be a outside the bubble Chase driver with a very small shot at squeaking in.
